Lorraine Olivero-Brodeur, DNP, FNP-BC

Lorraine Olivero-Brodeur, DNP, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Highland Medical, Palisades Primary Care and Pulmonary Medicine in West Nyack, NY.  

Dr. Olivero-Brodeur was part of the first cohort of primary care practitioners to receive her DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice).  This clinical degree addresses the need of a well-rounded primary care practitioner with a deep understanding of preventative and functional medicine that addresses the whole person, not just an isolated set of symptoms. Dr. Olivero-Brodeur received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Columbia University School of Nursing in New York, NY and her Master of Science, as a Family Nurse Practitioner, from Pace University, in Pleasantville, NY. 

Prior to her current position with Highland Medical, Dr. Olivero-Brodeur was an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Columbia University, as well as the Clinical Director of the Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center. A medically published researcher in her field, she has authored and co-authored a number of scientific papers focused on obesity and weight loss surgery.  

Dr. Olivero-Brodeur completed her Residency at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center in the following divisions: Center for Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery; the Combined Divisions of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; and Neuroendocrinology Weight Control Center. 

Dr. Olivero-Brodeur's clinical research interests include obesity; bariatric surgery; functional medicine; holistic medicine, herbal medicine; weight loss; energy medicine; gut hormones, aesthetic medicine; wellness; and nutrition.
